Elio Perrone Bigaro 2008
Elio Perrone Bigaro Rosato it is a blend of Moscato and Brachetto. The Brachetto not only gives the wine its beautiful color, but it shifts the flavors from tropical fruits in the direction of red fruits. The wine is vinified in exactly the same way as Perrone’s Moscato and is comparable in its residual sugar level, low alcohol, and creamy bubbles. It is sensational with sorbets and hazelnut and chestnut desserts.
Las Rocas de San Alejandro Rosado, Calatayud 2008
The deep pink-colored 2008 Las Rocas Rosado offers a fragrant bouquet of strawberry, cherry, and rhubarb leading to a medium-bodied, fleshy wine with tons of flavor, excellent depth, and a vibrant personality.
Muga Rose, Rioja 2008
Blend of Grenache, Macabeo and Tempranillo. Salmon hues with very bright pink glints. Fresh fruit aromas: citrus, pineapple, kiwi with clear hints of ripe fruit, such as sweet apples and quince. On the palate it is full and expressive, elegant, sweet with a crisp acidity and a long, honeyed aftertaste.
Domaine du Dragon “Cuvee Prestige” Cotes du Provence 2008
A delicate pink in the glass, is delightfully dry, fresh and pure; aromas of white and pink roses and grapefruit zest blend with a spicy, structured and dazzlingly fresh mouth of white peaches, blood oranges and lavender candy.
Chateau D’Esclans “Whispering Angel” Cotes du Provence 2007
There’s a crystal clarity to the berry and cherry flavors. Powerful, almost tannic, with plenty of mineral and spice notes. The long finish lingers with white pepper and wisps of red peach.
Crios de Susana Balbo Malbec Rose, Mendoza 2008
The 2008 Rose’ of Malbec is a saignee of Malbec sourced from 30-year-old ungrafted vines. It exhibits a fragrant bouquet of cherry and wild strawberries leading to a medium-bodied, dry, concentrated wine with lots of spicy red fruits and excellent balance.
Adelsheim Pinot Noir Rose, Willamette Valley 2007
This pinot noir rosé comes from certified orgranic fruit grown in Oregon’s Willamette Valley and is made through a combination of styles. Some of the juice is saignée, which means it’s free run juice “bled” of the grapes and, in this case, it receives very little skin contact. For depth, winemaker Dave Paige adds a little pinot noir and ferments just 5% in neutral French oak. Darker pink in color, the nose is quite perfumed, with aromas of sweet cherry, strawberry and rhubarb that continue onto the palate, which is clean and crisp.
Robert Sinskey Vin Gris Pinot Noir, Los Carneros 2008
The wine is made with 100% Estate Grown Pinot fruit, which also means it is organic and biodynamically certified in the traditional saignee style. Bright strawberry, lemongrass and jasmine aromas give way to a refreshing palate with watermelon rind, cucumber and herbs.
